Alternatively you can take Eurostar to Brussels/Bruxelles from London St. Pancras station. From Brussels Midi take Thalys or ICE train (subject to availability) to Koeln HBF and then
ICE train to Berlin from Koeln HBF.
Travelling by City Night Liner Sleeper is also a good option. You can take a
